Activities & Initiatives
The RA organises activities such as spruit walks and community days, and helps to promote community initiative such as recycling and WhatsApp communication groups.
Recycling
Residents who want to do their part for the environment – and discourage strangers from searching their rubbish for recyclables – are encouraged to contact www.wholeearth.co.za. This is a “single bin” recycler, in other words they do the separating for you.
Spruit walks, braais and picnics
The committee hosts spruit walks, braais and picnics from time to time. Keep an eye out on WhatsApp and Facebook, where such activities are announced.
Ring of Steel
The RA organised the fencing off of the green belt to improve security and protect flora and fauna, and maintains the fences on an ongoing basis. This is one of the RA’s major cost factors, as well as one of the most important security aspects.
Fibre to the Home
The RA was instrumental in bringing fibre internet to the Bryanfern area. Residents are now able to choose between Vumatel and OpenServe for their fibre connection, as well as a variety of ISPs’ offerings, including C-Fibre, Web Africa, Afrihost and others.
